The Lions Club of Gosnells (formerly Lions Club of Canning River) has been part of the community since July 16th 1969. For over 50 years the club has served the communtiy in a vast range of projects and activities, including our favourite annual Christmas Float, donating wheelchairs and equipment to those in need, supporting other charities like Flying Doctors and Starick House, and sponsoring medical research through Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation and Lions Alzheimer's Foundation.
Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; motto. Clubs are filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.
Lions International boasts a volunteer force of 1.4 million in 205 countries and geographic areas who conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.
Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.
Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live.
